​Jaclyn Stoerzbach (Owner/Manager) 

Welcome to Borg Farms, your trusted partner for horse boarding and training in Colorado Springs. My name is Jaclyn Stoerzbach, and I am passionate about providing exceptional care for horses while fostering a supportive community for their owners. With years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of equine health and well-being, I have built a business that prioritizes both the physical and mental health of every horse in our care. I live onsite and am here either doing chores or monitoring the horses consistently.

A Little About My Journey

My love for horses began when I was little, and it has only grown stronger over the years. During my early years, I volunteered on a horse breeding farm outside of Galesburg, Illinois, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience. Later, I decided to explore my passion for movement and healthcare by becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy as my first career. However, my true love for horses never faltered. In 2021, when the opportunity arose, I made the leap to change careers and dedicate my life to caring for horses. This journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m thrilled to share my passion with the equestrian community.

About our Employees

We do have a small team of wonderful employees who help do our basic chores and feeding.  They have all been trained for months under the owner and have a true passion for horses.  Our main employee, Desiree Phillips, has Level 2 CHA certificates for both English and Western training and takes care of 6 of her own horses at home! We pride ourselves on being a tight knit team who communicate efficiently and effectively.

Taffy Plaisted
With over 40 years of experience in both English and Western disciplines, Taffy Plaisted’s vast knowledge spans every imaginable area of horsemanship. Now specializing in Dressage, Taffy’s unique approach combines her deep understanding of equine behavior with a passion for helping riders and horses achieve harmony. She also works in equine physio rehabilitation and specializes in conditioning programs tailored for various disciplines, ensuring horses achieve peak performance and recovery.

Gigi Brittain
As a skilled Dressage trainer, Gigi Brittain focuses on developing precision, balance, and elegance in horse and rider. Her commitment to the art of Dressage ensures that riders of all levels can refine their skills and deepen their connection with their horses.

Rachael Stern
Rachael Stern specializes in Jumping, offering expert instruction for riders looking to improve their technique, confidence, and competitive edge. Whether you’re just starting or competing at advanced levels, Rachael’s tailored training programs will help you and your horse soar to new heights.​

Melissa McClain
Melissa McClain is our Eventing and Pressure-Proof trainer, helping riders and horses excel under challenging conditions. Her experience in multi-discipline training ensures that horse and rider teams are prepared for the demands of competitive eventing and high-stress situations.

Liberty Trainers: We work with 2 different liberty trainers who do on-site workshops. Please reach out to Jaclyn to get more info.

Vets include but are not limited to, CEVS (Colorado Equine Vet Services with 4 vets on the team and 24/7 Emergency Care), Dr. Chuck Woodall, Dr. Hintz, Dr. Quay, Dr. Melanie Robinson.  Farriers include but not limited to Jay Bell, Chase Rutledge, Ron Tyrell, and Megan Legacy. Any vet or farrier of your choice is welcomed onto the property.
